Gales Hit Cherryvalley
22nd
June 2008
| Un-seasonal storms hit Northern Ireland yesterday bringing down trees and overhead lines. The Weather office had forecast the storms with warnings of winds reaching 65mph. In the end Northern Ireland got off fairly unscathed, a miracle considering there were storm force 10 gales battering the Irish Sea coasts. The picture below shows a felled tree on the corner of Kingsdale Park and the Kings Road in East Belfast (Sunday 23 June 08). |
